56th Annual GRAMMY Awards Nominees include two Estonian conductors T\u00f5nu Kaljuste and Neeme J\u00e4rvi and a composer Arvo P\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n

The winners will be announced on January 26, 2014 in Los Angeles, Staples Center.<\/p>\n

Kaljuste is nominated in two cathegories: the best opera recording – Kleiberg’s “David & Bathsheba” and the best choir performance – Arvo P\u00e4rt’s “Adam’s Lament” (performers: Tui Hirv, Rainer Vilu, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Sinfonietta Riga, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Latvian Radio Choir and Vox Clamantis).
\nArvo P\u00e4rt is nominated in the best contemporary classical composition cathegory – “Adam’s Lament”.<\/p>\n

Neeme J\u00e4rvi is nominated in the best orchestral performance cathegory with Gothenburgh Symphony Orchestra and the best choral performance cathegory with the BBC National Chorus of Wales.<\/p>\n

The nominee of the best classical producer of the year is the producer of ECM Manfred Eicher (P\u00e4rt’s “Adam’s Lament”), who has had close cooperation for years with Arvo P\u00e4rt, T\u00f5nu Kaljuste and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.<\/p>\n

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir has won the Grammy Award in 2007 in the best choral performance with the CD “Arvo P\u00e4rt. Da Pacem”, conducted by Paul Hillier (Harmonia Mundi 2006).<\/p>\n
