{"id":4565,"date":"2013-02-05T11:39:30","date_gmt":"2013-02-05T08:39:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/efk.epcc.ee\/2013\/02\/efk-salvestab-ecmile-tonu-korvitsa-loomingut\/"},"modified":"2017-05-23T17:36:20","modified_gmt":"2017-05-23T14:36:20","slug":"epcc-records-tonu-korvits-music-for-ecm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/efk.epcc.ee\/en\/2013\/02\/epcc-records-tonu-korvits-music-for-ecm\/","title":{"rendered":"EPCC records T\u00f5nu K\u00f5rvits\u2019 music for ECM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 7 to 9 February the EPCC, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Anja Lechner (cello, Germany), jazz vocalist Kadri Voorand and the conductor T\u00f5nu Kaljuste record T\u00f5nu K\u00f5rvits\u2019 music for the CD that will be released by ECM.<\/p>\n<p>The program includes: <em>Song<\/em> for cello and strings (2012\/2013) and <em>Reflections of the Level Land <\/em>for cello and mixed choir (2013), <em>Seven Dreams of Seven Birds<\/em> (2009) for cello, choir and strings, <em>Labyrinths<\/em> for string orchestra, arrangements of Veljo Tormis\u2019s works <em>Song of the Level Land<\/em> for voice, kannel and strings and <em>The Last Ship<\/em> for male choir, bass drum and strings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The music by T\u00f5nu K\u00f5rvits (s. 1969) has been described as poetic and visionary music, hypnotic journeys through the landscapes of nature and folk tradition, human soul and subconscious. He has written in many different genres.
