EPCC 40<\/h2>\n

In the season of 2021\/2022, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will celebrate its 40th anniversary. Various concerts, celebrations and activities dedicated to the history of the chamber choir will take place in the framework of this occasion. Among other things, a thorough and atmospheric book reflecting the history of the choir in words and images will be published shortly. The birthday season will culminate in a grand gala concert in the summer of 2022, and we expect many dear friends from Estonia and from all over the world to come visit us. Join us in the celebrations!<\/p>\n

RECORDING OF A NEW COMPOSITION BY ESTONIAN COMPOSER<\/h2>\n

As a sequel to the celebrated cycles \u201cMoorland Elegies\u201d <\/strong>(2015) and \u201cSei la luce e il mattino\u201d<\/strong> (2019) for choir and orchestra composed by T\u00f5nu K\u00f5rvits<\/strong> \u2013 one of the most renowned and beloved contemporary Estonian composers \u2013 the third part of the grand musical trilogy has recently been completed upon the request of the EPCC. Titled \u201cThe Sound of Wings” (“Tiibade h\u00e4\u00e4l”),<\/strong> this Estonian-language piece is dedicated to the American female pilot Amelia Earhart and composed to the texts of Doris Kareva. The premiere and recording of the new piece will be performed once again in an excellent partnership between conductor Risto Joost<\/strong>, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. <\/strong><\/p>\n
